This photograph shows much of the business end of the instrument, namely the X-ray source, the goniometer, the CCD camera, the digital video camera, and the Cryojet.  The goniometer is in the crystal mounting position in this photograph. Water vapor condensing in the cold nitrogen stream is visible above the omega block of the instrument. The goniometer has four angles: f (rotation about the collet axis), k, w, and q. The detector is mounted on the theta arm and data collection typically proceeds by w–2q scans.
